Photovoltaic Effect

Solar cells made of silicon semiconductor layers absorb photons from sunlight. This energy knocks electrons loose, creating a direct current (DC) flow between the positive and negative layers of each cell.

Inverter Conversion

A high-efficiency inverter converts DC electricity generated by the panels into AC electricity compatible with the grid and your appliances. Modern string and micro-inverters achieve conversion efficiencies above 98%.

Grid Integration

Surplus energy is exported to the grid, earning feed-in tariffs or credits. Battery storage systems can store daytime generation for night-time use, maximising self-consumption and independence.
